THE BEAUTIFUL QUEEN VICTORIA FALLS - 21st November 09

How good is the ride up to Queen Mary's Fall's........after our mandatory coffee/breakfast at Macca's Beaudessert , through Boonah then through the amazing lowlands leading up the mountain to that awesome plateau.
This time we stopped on the plateau for a lunch overlooking the escartment, that was a great time. This is the third time we have done the run and in any weather, there is nothong like it...then a run home through the plains around Warrick just topped off a great day.

A GREAT RIDE TO TYALGUM 20TH MARCH

It was a really enjoyable and interesting ride down through the Numinbah Valley to Tyalgum, then to Tumbulgum and home.
The weather was kind to us we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and various riding conditions of the Valley. The first surprise was the posse of brightly covered police cars on the boarder....from both QLD & NSW.They were doing some licence checking & RBT. We all survived and rolled on down the hill, turning off at Chillingham for Tyalgum.
After suffering the 80km/hr on the Valley run we were looking forward to open speed road to Tyalgum...then we hit a cavalgade of vintage Austin Cars, interesting but SLOW. We eventually got past them met up again at Tyalgum....where we had a great chat and banter with the locals at the very dainty "Flutterbies" cafe/gift shop...there was some suggestion that the wives would love the place.

Larry then introduced us to the local at Tumbulgum....and nice ride up over the back of the tweed. This is a great part of the world...definitely keep on our list of regular rides.
