Magical July ride - Three mountains and a Dam

Riding SEQ on an amazing Winters day......It doesn't get any better than this!!!!

This ride had been postponed from previous two weeks when the weather was atrocious...but today perfect!
Band of Bikers starting to assemble for a great ride
What I love as much as the riding is the Band of Biker community... the range of riders...personality & skills... the joy we have in a shared passion in bikes ...and life.
love me...love my bike
RG came across to let us check out his new Honda nx750x
There was some special guest on the day....Brenton's new Triumph Speed triple ...and Joseph, a man on a mission in Egypt....it all made the day even more special.
So with all the pleasantries and the Harley girls waiting over near the road next to the servo we headed off on 270km's of the best riding possible.

So with over 20 bikers ( picked up 3 more on Mt Glorious) we headed off to battle the city traffic as we headed along Waterworks rd to Mt Nebo then onto Mt Glorious for our first stop....with a few interest sights along the way.
hrough the city and past the cat cuddle cafe
The ride through Mt Nebo was great....beautiful vista's, twistie roads and lots of bike and Mamils..quite dangerous when they are in the middle of the road on a blind corner..where is Leigh McQ when you need him:)
Then rolling onto Mount Glorious ...surprisingly quiet for a Saturday morning ..we enjoyed checking out bikes and chatting as we waited for our morning tea....awesome.
this is all that is needed in life...great coffee and a Bike with Jesus on the back
With our appetites satisfied it was off down the mountain and a consolidation at the bottom ...so off we went all at our own pace.

So with big smiles on our faces we headed off for more great roads, this time alongside Wivenhoe and Somerset Dams..saying goodbye to our photography Andrew Ross.
The weather continued to be spectacular and now for the run through Woodford then turning for the climb up Mt Mee to our Lunch stop at "The Pitstop".
With the sun beaming down we all enjoyed the awesome views from the "Pitstop Cafe" on Mt Mee....no one seemed to be in a hurry to leave , Drew enjoying the biggest coffee mug I have seen in a while and Moi a chance to take a selfie.

So after a long lunch at the "Pitstop" the group split to different parts , a few of us headed to off to Harry's Cafe de wheels to catch up with our Tassie Leprechaun ,Leigh Mcq to encourage him after missing the ride due to work.
Savoring and awesome day with amazing roads and as usual an awesome community of riders.

Check out more action on the video blow....
