March Magnificent Moogerah ride

This was a ride of amazing Vista's,we even saw an Indian and yes..road on dirt. We have done this ride a number of times in the past but it never ceases to be jaw dropping amazing. Despite a day threatening late storms some 30 bikes and 35 riders headed of on a beautiful 30deg Autumn Brisbane day for a ride of just over 300km, through Beaudesert, over Darlington range, Rathdowney, Moogerah Dam and Boonah.

We were excited to welcome some new riders to the Band of bikers and old faithful with new bikes
Steve (aka Drift Ghost) and his Honda VFR 800
Phil & Judy and their Bandit 1200

The Parson's show that a family that rides together, stays together
Johann and his triumph Ledgend
Jason couldn't stay away..now with his Virago

Ron showing of his Indian

look what happened when Ron polished up Jason Virago...it became an Indian!
ahhhh.....a beautiful Indian with all the mod cons ..you can pick one up from your friendly dealer..Ron

We made our way out through Yatala, back of Beenleigh, picking up another four riders up and heading for our favourite watering hole...yes...Macca's at beaudesert where we took over the whole outside area.
Then it was down Kerry Rd and over Darlington range to Rathdowney...just beautiful

As we zigged zagged our way to Rathdown we came upon a terrifying expereince for us black top riders...a DIRT road!!!

...what do we do now?? everyone through safely including Drew on his gargantuan Honda Goldwing but the cross over trium tiger and BMW's loved to show off their off road pefigree

Steve, on his Honda show us how it was done.....only a kilometer or so in total but a real memorable moment.

We stopped in at Rathdowny for a streatch the legs break...and set our sights on a great country road run up through Mt Alford to Moogerah Dam.
Grant ,Lorna, Leo and Natasha enjoying some shade at a break at Rathdowney

How good is this......

We made it to Lake Moogerah and I gathered everyone for a snap for Gateway #calledhearts# intagram photo where we gave thanks yo God for our Band of Biker community

We then made our way round to Boonah and Flavour's Cafe for a well deserve lunch and catchup with our Band of Bikers community

Flavour's has a unique distinction...every picture frame is crooked...will drive you mad if you have a bent for alignment ,lol.

We made our way back to Beaudesert with a lovbely run along a new road boadering Lake Wyaralong...the end to another fabulous ride in the great south east.

It was great to have Steve Greatbatch and his "Drift HD Ghost" helmet cam along for the ride... another video maker with some great shots ..enjoy HERE
